Non-EU students admitted to a German higher-education institution or a recognised preparatory/language course.

Admission letter (Zulassung) from a German university or preparatory college
Blocked account (Sperrkonto) of EUR 11,904 for 2026 (EUR 992/month for one year)
Valid health insurance recognised in Germany
Proof of prior qualifications (e.g. secondary school certificate or bachelor's degree)
Sufficient language skills for the programme (German or English depending on the course)
May work up to 140 full or 280 half days per year alongside studies
