Privacy policy
Case notes entered in our tools stay in your browser. Saving them on this device is optional; downloaded files are yours to manage.
Tools are client-side only
The USCIS inquiry record, fee checklist and forms finder process your entries in your browser. The inquiry workspace does not send your case nickname, receipt date, category, office, official response or contact notes to PetitionPace or USCIS. Opening an official link takes you to an external website; the workspace does not attach your case details to that link.
Optional device saving and record files
Device saving starts off. If you select it, valid changes to one inquiry record are saved in this browser's local storage and can persist after you close the page. On a later visit, the workspace offers to restore the copy. It is not an account, a cloud backup or encrypted storage. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to restore it.
Turning device saving off or choosing “Delete device copy” removes that saved copy when browser storage is available. Your open entries remain until you change them or leave the page. Storage failures are reported on screen; a failed delete must be resolved in your browser settings. We cannot recover a deleted device copy.
PDF and editable JSON downloads contain the entries you include. Imported JSON is read locally. Keep these files private and delete them through your device's file manager when no longer needed; deleting the browser copy does not delete downloaded files. The calendar export contains only a generic review reminder on the date you choose, without your case nickname or notes. Your calendar application controls reminders after import; PetitionPace sends no calendar notifications.
What we collect
We use standard web hosting through Cloudflare, which may log:
- Your IP address (required for routing)
- The pages you visit and when
- Your browser and device type (from the User-Agent header)
- HTTP referrer (the site you came from, if any)
This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and aggregate traffic analysis. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to identify individual users.
What we do not collect
- Names or contact details from tool entries (email you voluntarily submit through an email form or send us is a separate service)
- Immigration case details, receipt numbers, or A-numbers
- Information you enter into our client-side tools
- Payment information (we have no paid services)
- Location beyond what your IP address implies at the country or region level
Email newsletter
If you submit an email signup form, the address and signup preferences you provide are sent to our signup endpoint and stored separately from tool entries using our hosting provider. A signup confirmation records your request; it is not a confirmation that an update email has been delivered. Contact us at the address below to request removal.
External links
We link to USCIS, egov.uscis.gov, and other external sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and data practices that we do not control.
Cookies
We do not set marketing or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a security cookie (the cf_clearance cookie) for DDoS protection. The inquiry record uses persistent local storage only when you select device saving, as described above. Your browser or its extensions may apply their own storage and sync settings.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our data practices change materially. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update.
