How to use it

Step by step

  1. 1 Pick your marital status — it decides whether spouse factors apply and which point column is used.
  2. 2 Fill in the core factors: age, education, English/French ability (CLB level), and any Canadian work experience.
  3. 3 Add skill-transferability inputs (foreign experience, trade certificate) and any bonus points (provincial nomination, French, sibling, Canadian study).
  4. 4 Read your total CRS score and the breakdown by category.
  5. 5 Compare against recent draw cutoffs — and always verify on the official IRCC CRS tool before relying on the number.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the official CRS calculator?

No. This is an independent estimator built from the published IRCC CRS grid (reviewed June 2026). It is accurate to the public point tables, but only IRCC’s official tool and an actual Express Entry profile produce a binding score. Always confirm on canada.ca.

Why is there no job-offer field?

IRCC removed CRS points for arranged employment (job offers) for all candidates on 25 March 2025. A job offer no longer adds CRS points, so this calculator omits it. A provincial nomination still adds 600 points.

How do the language points work?

CRS scores each of the four abilities (listening, reading, writing, speaking) by Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB). This tool assumes the same CLB across all four abilities for simplicity. If your abilities differ, use your lowest band for a conservative estimate, or score each ability on the official IRCC tool.

What CRS score do I need?

There is no fixed pass mark. IRCC invites the highest scores in each draw, so the cutoff moves — general draws in late 2025 hovered around 470–540, while category-based draws (e.g. French, healthcare) and provincial nominations can clear at lower scores. A provincial nomination (+600) effectively guarantees an invitation.

Does this store my answers?

No. The calculation happens entirely in your browser. No ages, scores, or personal details are transmitted or saved anywhere.
