Who this route is for

Non-EU entrepreneurs with an innovative business idea who work with an IND-approved facilitator (incubator/mentor).

Eligibility requirements

  • A guidance agreement with an IND-recognised facilitator (the facilitator must be a recognised sponsor and hold no major stake)
  • An innovative, scalable product or service with a step-by-step business plan
  • Sufficient means of support (around EUR 1,400+/month of own resources for the year)
  • Registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK)
  • Valid passport and Dutch health insurance

Recent changes & caveats

After the startup year, the founder transfers to the self-employed residence permit if the business is viable.
