Who this route is for

Non-EU nationals who want to come to Portugal to search for a job, especially in shortage sectors like tech and healthcare.

Proof of financial means of at least 3x the Portuguese minimum monthly wage (about EUR 2,760 for the stay), or a sponsorship letter from a Portuguese resident
A recognised degree or relevant experience (the 2026 upgrade targets skilled workers in shortage occupations)
Proof of accommodation in Portugal and valid health insurance
Return-travel intent / registration with Portugal's employment service (IEFP)
Clean criminal record
