Non-EU nationals who want to come to Portugal to search for a job, especially in shortage sectors like tech and healthcare.
Eligibility requirements
- Proof of financial means of at least 3x the Portuguese minimum monthly wage (about EUR 2,760 for the stay), or a sponsorship letter from a Portuguese resident
- A recognised degree or relevant experience (the 2026 upgrade targets skilled workers in shortage occupations)
- Proof of accommodation in Portugal and valid health insurance
- Return-travel intent / registration with Portugal's employment service (IEFP)
- Clean criminal record
